Love takes many forms ... Wednesday Addams, a young adult, falls in love with Lucas Beineke. The only problem is that the Addams family is, let's say, a little different from the average family. Wednesday's father, Gomez, promises not to tell Wednesday's mother. But Gomez cannot lie to his beloved Morticia, and so the secret is revealed and the Beineke family is invited to the gloomy Addams home. Now the Addams world, with its penchant for the eccentric and macabre, collides with the bourgeois milieu of the Beineke family. A perfectly normal evening ...

The renowned cartoon illustrations by Charles Addams with the characters of the Addams Family caricatured the conservative US-American family from the 1930s onwards. These characters were subsequently revisited and adapted for a number of series, films and, in 2009, Andrew Lippa's musical. More recently, the Netflix series »Wednesday«, featuring actress Jenna Ortega's quirky dance, made waves.

Since our MuKo audience loves not only humorous but also horror-filled musicals such as »Sweeney Todd« or »Jekyll & Hyde«, it is high time to invite the Addams family, with its wonderful characters and songs, to Leipzig!
