Note on discounts

• Various discounts are available for events in the large halls of the opera house and the Musikalische Komödie.

To promote your opera visit or opera trip, you can download photos from the press section of our website. The free use and publication of image material from the Leipzig Opera is permitted for corporate and group customers exclusively in connection with a ticket reservation via the Leipzig Opera's group reservation service and only for the purpose of promoting the corresponding performances. Information for tour coaches at the opera house:
A designated stop for boarding and alighting is located directly at the opera house on the Schwanenteich/Park side of Goethestraße. Step-free access is ensured from there.

Inner-city coach parking spaces:
• Hauptbahnhof (east side) – Brandenburger Straße/Sachsenseite

Oper Leipzig provides a dedicated parking area for visitors to the Musikalische Komödie directly behind the venue.

Cost: Parking is free of charge for ticket holders at all performances.
Opening: The car park generally opens 90 minutes before the performance begins.
Weekdays (Mon–Sat): Usually open from 4:30 pm.
Sundays and public holidays: Usually open from 1:30 pm.

There is no specific dress code – your guests are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

Admission to the opera house and musical comedy theatre usually begins 60 minutes before the start of the performance. We recommend that groups arrive in good time to ensure smooth admission.

The cloakroom is free of charge. Coats, jackets, umbrellas, large bags, food and drinks must be left in the cloakroom before the performance.

We offer free introductions to selected productions – either on site or digitally as audio introductions. On-site introductions begin 30 minutes before the performance and take place in the concert foyer (Opera House) or in the Venussaal (Musikalische Komödie). No separate registration is required. Digital introductions can be found on the respective production pages on our website.

The introduction provides key information about the work, plot and staging and is particularly suitable for preparing your guests for the content.

Most works at the opera house are performed in their original language with German surtitles. Works by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss also have English surtitles.

Please note that the legibility of the surtitles in rows 19 and 20 may be limited due to the architecture of the auditorium. We will be happy to advise you on this when seating your group.

At the Musikalische Komödie, operettas and musicals are performed exclusively in German.

Opera House

Exclusive group tours are available for groups of 10 or more (max. 25 participants) in German or English and can be booked through our partner »Leipzig Erleben«.
