Arrival and parking

Visitors using the underground car park on Augustusplatzcan access the opera house directly from the parking garage.

You can book your parking space in advance. This will help you avoid the crowds at the ticket machines after performances.

With a pre-booked parking space, you can enter and exit the underground car park without cash or tickets using your licence plate number.

Despite extensive and intensive discussions with the operator of the Augustusplatz public underground car park, Q-Park, we have not succeeded in finding a solution for a discounted parking ticket at the event rate that is acceptable to all parties and attractive to you.

You will still be able to use public transport before and after the Leipzig Opera events.

Guests of the Musikalische Komödie can park free of charge in the car park behind the building for all performances. Visitors can enter the car park from 90 minutes before the start of the performance. 

A stop for coaches to get on and off is possible directly at the opera house on the Schwanenteich side of Goethestrasse.

In the Opera House and in the Musikalische Komödie, we provide booster seats for children at every performance. We would also be happy to book a taxi for you at the end of the performance. Please speak to our front house staff.
