With »Mozart / Rachmaninow«, the Leipzig Ballet pays tribute to Uwe Scholz, whose choreographic work characterises the city like a silent echo. His art is shaped music, a language of light, space and movement that captures the ephemeral while also exploring the eternal.

In »Jeunehomme«, Mozart's Piano Concerto finds in movement a counterpart for the nuances of joy and melancholy typical in the works of the great composer. Rachmaninov's 3rd Piano Concerto unfolds as a choreographic masterpiece, pouring sound into space and profoundly moving the audience with its emotional force.

Following the »Scholz Symphonies«, which commemorated the work of the choreographer in the 2024/25 season, this evening constitutes a further homage.
