Leipzig celebrates its opera revolutionary: the Lortzing Festival 2026 focuses on the work of Albert Lortzing - lively, entertaining and surprisingly modern. For over 25 years, the Leipzig A cappella Festival has been transforming the city into a sound space of voices. In 2026, it will once again bring international vocal art to the stage - from classical to contemporary, without instruments but full of expression. These two outstanding festivals join forces and invite you to the Open Stage on Augustusplatz.
