The Oper Leipzig strives to reach many people who are enthusiastic about their artistic work and sense a long lasting connection to our Opera House. To accomplish this we need valuable partners on our side, who will support us in promoting a house that is rich in tradition as a social gathering place and an important cultural highlight of the Musikstadt Leipzig.
We love the Oper Leipzig and want to support the house wherever it is necessary. We do this with a sense of proportion, through a great deal of personal commitment and, of course, through donations.
With us you will find the opera friends you have always wanted. Opportunities to get to know each other are frequent.
Founded in 1992, the Förderkreis sees itself as a platform for all those interested in the cultural and especially the musical life of Leipzig. It pursues exclusively non-profit purposes. The board, elected by the members, works on a voluntary basis.

The Leipzig Ballet is not only one of the largest, but also one of the most traditional ballet ensembles in Germany and is also important for the city of Leipzig in its internationality. The Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Leipziger Balletts e. V. has actively supported the artistic work of the company since 1995. Not only does the association carry out highly networked lobbying work for the division, but through donations and membership fees the Friends of the Leipzig Ballet are also important enablers of needed purchases.
The association invites all dance lovers and fans of the Leipzig Ballet to join. As a member you will have a unique insight into the work of the company. Rehearsal visits and meetings with the dancers are organised, as well as joint excursions to out-of-town ballet performances and presentations by ballet schools such as the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin or the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden. The highlight of each year is certainly the exclusive season reception to which the members of the association and the company are invited.
The company of the Leipzig Ballet consists of more than 40 dancers from over 20 different nations. Almost every year, new dancers come and dedicate their talent and devotion to the Leipzig Ballet. The association helps them to arrive here in Leipzig and to feel at home. If you are interested in becoming a mentor for our new dancers, please contact the Friends and Supporters of the Leipzig Ballet.
You can also talk to the members of the association during the ballet performances. Simply visit the association's stand in the stalls foyer of the opera house. There you will find background information on the pieces as well as photos, dvds and books about the ballet. The Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Leipziger Balletts e. The Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Musikalischen Komödie Leipzig e. V. was founded in 1999. With events and concerts, the association maintains close contact with the audience and also strives to further increase the popularity of the theatre by issuing publications. In addition, important projects are promoted with financial support.
At regular guest performances, the Musikalische Komödie has also acquired friends and sponsors who accompany its work with interest and commitment. The association maintains close contact with Leipzig's Robert Schumann Grammar School, with which the joint Advent concerts have taken place in recent years. The association is a member of the Federal Association of German Music and Theatre Societies Muthea.
