Biography
Manja Stein was born and raised in the beautiful Upper Lusatia region. After graduating in 2008 with a degree in musical theater and vocal pedagogy from the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig, she took on theater roles in Rostock, Dresden, the Uckermark region, Leipzig, Bad Vilbel, Magdeburg, Radebeul, Altenburg, Senftenberg, Heidelberg, Erfurt, and Berlin, among other places. Her repertoire includes roles such as Janet Weiss (The Rocky Horror Show), Audrey (The Little Shop of Horrors), Marthe Schwertlein (Faust), Lady Milford (Intrigue and Love), Fräulein Kost (Cabaret), Zeitel/Fruma Sara (Fiddler on the Roof), Josepha Vogelhuber (The White Horse Inn), Aunt Elinor (Inkheart), and Madame Giry (Love Never Dies). For many years, she was part of the ensemble at Germany’s oldest cabaret, the »Leipziger Pfeffermühle«, and performed throughout Germany, as well as in France, Austria, and Switzerland.
At the Musikalische Komödie, she will make her debut in the 2026/27 season in the musical »The Hare with Amber Eyes« in the role of Anna.
