Vikrant Subramanian

Biography

Born in New Delhi. Studied voice at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot as a scholarship holder of the Neemrana Music Foundation and the French government. 2014-16 member of the International Opera Studio in Nuremberg. Since 2016/17 ensemble member of the music theatre department at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven. Roles include Papageno (»The Magic Flute«), Belcore (»L'elisir d'amore«), Dandini (»La Cenerentola«), Zurga (»The Pearl Fishers«), Osman und Adario (»Les Indes galantes«), Albert (»Werther«), Pantalone/Farfarello (»The Love for Three Oranges«), Wilhelm Eisenring (»The Arsonists«), Dr. Falke (»Die Fledermaus«), Joe Gillis (»Sunset Boulevard«), Payador (Tango-Opera »Maria de Buenos Aires«) as well as the title roles in Tate's »The Lodger« and the musical »Zorro«. Appearances e.g. in Bremerhaven and as a guest at the Wuppertaler Bühnen, the Péniche Opéra, the Opéra de Massy and at the festivals »Nuits d’été de Corte« and »Lyrique en Mer«.

Ensemble member of the Musikalische Komödie since 2020/21.
