Biography
Uwe Schenker-Primus' musical career startet in the Windsbach Boys' Choir. He received his training at the Conservatoire in Würzburg and graduated with diplomas in opera and concert singing. He won various competitions. His concert repertoire has a broad range from Monteverdi to contemporary music (e.g. Penderecki's St Luke's Passion or Johan Adams' »Wound Dresser«), as well as world premieres and opera/ operetta concerts. He has worked with conductors such as Daniel Klajner, Markus Poschner, Enrique Mazzola, Stefan Solyom, Kiril Karabits and Donald Runnicles. He contributed a recording of songs for baritones as part of the complete works of Pfitzner and Korngold. He was a member of the ensemble at Mainfranken Theater Würzburg betgewen 2005 and 2009 and joined the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar in 2009, where he sings key roles of his Fach.
He will sing Hans Stadinger in »Der Waffenschmied« at the Musikalische Komödie in 2025/2026.
