Biography
Mieke Müllerschön is a music theatre educator and cultural facilitator. Since the 2024/25 season, she has been working at the Leipzig Opera, where she develops music theatre formats for children, young people, and adults – with a special focus on participation, playfulness, and artistic agency.
She previously led the inclusive theatre club at Theater der Jungen Welt Leipzig and a youth project at Theater Altenburg. In nationwide educational projects – including for the Federal Centre for Health Education – she designed interactive workshops with young people. Earlier professional experiences took her to Deutsches Theater Berlin and the German National Theatre in Weimar.
Mieke Müllerschön studied Media Studies at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and earned her M.A. in Theatre Education at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her work combines socially relevant topics with creative expression in music theatre.
