Biography
Melanie Gebhard was born and raised in the Swabian Alb. In 2003, she decided to train for the musical stage in Hamburg. She can now look back on a long professional career. She has played Elphaba in »Wicked – The Witches of Oz« (Stuttgart, Oberhausen), Lisa Wartberg in »Ich war noch niemals in New Yorck« (Vienna), Baroness von Waldstätten in »Mozart« (Duisburg, Shanghai), Molly in »Ghost« (Berlin), Kate Mullins in »Titanic« (Bad Hersfeld), Abbess of Kirklees in the world premiere of »Robin Hood« (Fulda). She was also engaged for the 2020 New Year's production of »My Fair Lady« at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Since 2022, she has been a regular on the stages of the Plauen-Zwickau Theatre, where she has appeared as Morticia Addams in »The Addams Family«, Morgana in »Artus Excalibur« and in the role of the evil Queen Endora in the German premiere of the musical »Snow White & Me«. In addition to her work on stage, Melanie also works as a vocal coach. She can also be seen in TV shows and commercials, as well as a presenter and soloist at many different events. Her own musical gala with a live band and dance ensemble – »Musicalladies & Friends« – will take place for the ninth time in a row in 2026 in her hometown at the Stadthalle Balingen.
