Biography
Jon Bausor is an award-winning set designer who trained at the Motley Theatre Design Course. He received the UK Theatre Award for »The Grinning Man« and has been nominated for an Olivier Award (»Spirited Away«), WhatsOnStage Awards (»Spirited Away«, »Into the Woods«) and an Emmy Award for »Human Pinball« (Red Bull TV).
His work includes the set design for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, as well as designs for major events such as the Great North Run in Newcastle and the kinetic torch for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
In the 2025/26 season, his set and costume designs can be seen in »Der Nussknacker« at Oper Leipzig.
