Biography
Born in the Netherlands, she trained as a dancer at the Nationale Balletacademie in Amsterdam. She subsequently spent 18 years as a dancer with Nederlands Dans Theater. During her performing career, she also began working as a costume designer. After retiring from the stage, she studied at the Baruch Mode Academie in Amsterdam.
As a costume designer, she has created costumes for Nederlands Dans Theater, the Norwegian National Ballet, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Hamburg Ballett, Introdans, Győri Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet and the Royal Danish Ballet, among others. Her work has brought her into collaboration with choreographers including Patrick Delcroix, Jorma Elo, Medhi Walerski, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Kaloyan Boyadjiev, Alexander Ekman, Johan Inger and Jo Strømgren.
In the 2022/23 season, she designed the costumes for »Der kleine Prinz« at Oper Leipzig.
