A hands-on operatic project for children from 6 to 10 years of age
The curtain of the Musikalische Komödie is about to go up on a very special project: Puccini’s opera Turandot, in a version especially for children, in which they are invited to come onto the stage and sing along. For several years, Opera InCanto has successfully travelled across Europe, introducing children to the fantastic cosmos of opera. At the end of their work together, children are allowed to perform on stage as singers alongside professional soloists, accompanied here by the Orchestra of the Musikalische Komödie.
Young artists prepare for this event in class, as they make costumes, playfully learn selected passages with the help of an app, and even learn a few words of Italian.
