Biografie

Was born in Neuwied. He studied voice at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. From 2003-07 he was engaged at the Theater Augsburg, and from 2007-12 at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz München. His repertoire includes Leporello (»Don Giovanni«), Dulcamara (»L’elisir d’amore«), Don Alfonso (»Così fan tutte«), Kaspar (»Der Freischütz«), Kalchas (»Die schöne Helena«), Baron Zeta (»Die lustige Witwe«), Zettel (Britten’s »A Midsummer Night’s Dream «) as well as the title roles in »Le nozze di Figaro« and »Don Pasquale« He has bowed on the stages of the Komische Oper Berlin, the Theater Basel, the Landestheater Linz, the Nationaltheater in Mannheim, the Nationaltheater in Weimar, Semperoper and Staatsoperette Dresden, Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, Theater Augsburg, Staatstheater Bremen, Staatstheater Kassel, Staatstheater Braunschweig, Staatstheater Oldenburg, Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen as well as at the International Maifestspiele Wiesbaden and the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele. He was awarded the Bayerische Kunstförderpreis des Staatsministeriums für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst. He appeared at the Oper Leipzig in the 2020/21 season as Brighella in »Das Liebesverbot oder die Novize von Palermo«.
