Was born in Dortmund. His repertoire includes roles such as Florestan (»Fidelio«), Max (»Der Freischütz«), Erik (»Der fliegende Holländer«), the title role in »Lohengrin«, the prince (»The Love for Three Oranges«), Don José (»Carmen«), Énée (»Les Troyens«), Masaniello (»La Muette de Portici«), the title roles in »Faust«, »Hoffmanns Erzählungen«, and »Werther«, Lenski (»Eugen Onegin«), the prince (»Rusalka«), Boris (»Katja Kabanova«), Tamino (»Die Zauberflöte«), Don Ottavio (»Don Giovanni«) as well as the title roles in »Idomeneo« and »La clemenza di Tito«. He has bowed at the Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Komische Oper in Berlin, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Oper Köln, Oper Bonn, Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, Volksoper Wien, Oper Graz, Oper Metz, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, and the Staatstheater Nürnberg, as well as at the Mannheimer Mozart Sommer, the Seefestspiele Mörbisch, the International Maifestspiele Wiesbaden, and at the Berlioz Festival in La Côte-Saint-André. He bowed at the Oper Leipzig in 2016 as the title role in »Faust« and returns in the 2021/22 season as Claudio in »Das Liebesverbot oder die Novize von Palermo«.
