Lise Lindstrom

Biografie

Was born in California. She studied voice with her mother (herself a singer), as well as at the San Francisco State University and at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has appeared as a guest at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the San Francisco Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Viennese State Opera, San Diego Opera, the Arena di Verona, at La Scala in Milan, the Opéra de Montréal, with Opera Australia, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, at the Staatsoper Hamburg, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, at the Seoul Arts Center and at the Verbier Festival. Her repertoire includes roles such as the title roles in »Turandot«, »Tosca«, »Salome«, »Elektra« und »Ariadne auf Naxos«, the Dyer’s wife (»Die Frau ohne Schatten«), Marie (»Wozzeck«), Elisabeth and Venus (»Tannhäuser«), Senta (»Der fliegende Holländer«), and Brünnhilde (»Der Ring des Nibelungen«). She has celebrated international success as a concert singer and recitalist. She appears during the 2021/22 season at the Oper Leipzig as Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung.
