Linda Redlin


Studied fashion and costume design in Vienna, where she also gained her first professional experience. Her first original designs were for George Tabori’s Theater Der Kreis. She has designed costumes for theater, dance theater, opera, and film, including productions at the Burgtheater Wien, Schauspielhaus Graz, Landestheater Niederösterreich, Theater Phönix in Linz, for the Innsbrucker Domfestspielen, Theater Gruppe 80, Odeon, 2nd nature dance theatre, Schauspielhaus Wien, Stadttheater Innsbruck, at the Carinthischer Sommer, Opéra National de Lyon, and the Opéra National de Paris. She has worked with Christian Schmidt as costume designer and associate at all of the large stages in Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Vienna, including productions with Christoph Loy und Claus Guth. She appeared at the Semperdepot in Vienna for »Artaserse« and »Don Chisciotte in Sierra Morena«. She has worked alongside stage directors including Kurt Palm, Christine Gaigg, Nicola Raab, Yona Kim, Sigrid T’Hooft, and Bettina Hering, and has also regularly collaborated with Philipp Harnoncourt, (including productions of »Der Zigeunerbaron«, »Wiener Blut«, »The Last Supper« (H. Birtwistle), »Die Entführung aus dem Serail«, »Così fan tutte«, »La Cenerentola«). She appeared at the Opéra National de Paris in 2018 alongside C. Schmidt and C. Guth for »Bérénice«. Her costumes appear at the Oper Leipzig for the 2019/20 season production of »Tristan und Isolde«.
