In May 2005, six girls met and formed an ensemble. They embarked on a journey together that not only took them out into the world, but also enabled them to grow and mature together. The group »Sjaella« is well established in the universal vocal music scene and manages to inspire its audience with its diverse repertoire, exciting collaborations and new sounds.
Together with the Leipzig Ballet, Sjaella turns its attention to one of the greatest masterpieces of classical ballet: in »Giselle«, a fairy tale story of fate, love, forgiveness and mysticism unfolds. Interwoven in the interplay of voices and bodies, the women's souls are revealed, enabling Ballet Director and Chief Choreographer Mario Schröder to rediscover the story of the peasant girl who dies of a broken heart. Time and again, questions arise as to the opportune moments for chances and decisions.
Experience a spherical combination of dance, voice and bodies and the first collaboration between the ensemble »Sjaella«, the Leipzig Ballet and the Gewandhausorchester.
