How do I avoid problems with credit card payments?

European guidelines are changing to make online card payments even more secure. For orders placed after January 1st, 2021, you will be asked to verify yourself using 3D Secure. This will be marked depending on the type of card you use (e.g. Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check or American Express SafeKey).

What do I have to do?

If you have not already done so, you should activate your card for 3D Secure. Most banks offer this service online. You can find this out via your bank's website.

If you have already registered for 3D Secure or used the function before, you do not need to register again. However, your bank may be setting up a new payment process to improve usage. Some banks have designed a new smartphone app specifically for this purpose. Please contact your bank for more information.

To ensure that you can pay for your next order easily and securely, we recommend that you activate 3D Secure prior to your next online order.



 

How can I return my tickets if I missed performances due to corona?

Of course, you can return tickets that have already been purchased free of charge in the event that performances are canceled due to corona. Subscribers will be reimbursed for the value of the subscription card.

The reimbursement of your tickets purchased at advance booking offices can be made through the relevant advance booking office. The company CTS Eventim has released the necessary technical cancellation block for all external ticket providers.

We can offer you the following return options:

  • Reimbursement by voucher to the value of the purchase price (only possible by post)
  • A donation receipt (If you forego a refund of the ticket price, you help us to minimize the financial losses. With the donation you agree to the acceptance of the donation by the City Council of Leipzig in a public meeting. A donation receipt can be issued after approval by the City Council issued.)
  • Reimbursement of the ticket price to a specified account
